Build No.1 Porsche On Display
 

Even though most of Australia is in drought, we got sprinklings of rain all day Sunday at our annual 356 club parade, concours etc in Melbourne, which placed a layer of red dirt all over concours quality porsches.
Due to small numbers of 912's in Australia, we join the local 356 club (the 911 boys really don't want to know us even though we share the same body, and better balance in my opinion). We had four nice 912's turn up for the day and heaps of outstanding 356's, inluding carrera GT's, four cams, continentals, 550 spyders, speedsters, a porsche tractor.The highlight of the show, the first porsche built.(build no.1) from the german museum, was on display.

.:D Really great to see other 912's in this remote part of the world. Nice to compare cars, stories and as funny as it sounds, even hearing another 912 is great.

weather is funny no matter where you are. so are people at times.
been around the same 912/911 snob factor with MG's .. have a midget, when I drive it: the mgb people smile and move on. when I drive the B.. the AH folks smile and move on..
be ok if they were real smiles.. when its a combo mouth and eye brow thing.. well.. smile and move on!
I am happy.. they have the problem.
