1967 912 Aga Blue

I bought a 1967 912 Aga Blue-It has an older paint job that needs to be redone-what is the modern equivalent of 1967 Aga Blue -that can be found and or mixed/paint code to get as close to Aga Blue as possible-any assistance is appreciated-Thanks Gordon

Any good auto paint store can match the color. You need to take a part off the car that has the original none faded color. However it will be with the new type paints.

Looks like 6608. The 912registry.org has a nice chart for the color codes and what percentage came from the factory. Also if you contact Porsche and are willing to shell out $100, they'll mail you a certificate with all the options your car came with from color code, seat selection, trim, radio, etc.

The paint number of 6608 in a in house/factory number, the code was 310 for 1966/67. This color was only used for the 66 and 67 model year. However, I doubt this will help him much 60 years later. If you go to the original paint supplier, which there was three, they might still have the formula to mix the color. There should be a letter code after the paint number to tell which paint supplier for that car.

Otherwise any good custom auto paint supply store can match the color. They just need a piece from the car, with the original paint, to do a scan.

Glasurit still has the formula online and available at any good jobber in 22 line or RM UNO. Don't cheap out and try and match it with another brand like i did. You will regret it for years to come
