How many shims 1967-912
I have a 1967-912, Stock engine-I am changing out my fan belt and need to order shims for the belt tension. How many shims do I need to order and and is each shim the same? I have read that I need 6 on all time on the shaft and my belt tension will dictate which ones are are actually being used on the pulleys versus being located outside of the pulley but still attached to the shaft. Can you please clarify and share your knowledge-Much appreciated! Gordon

The Factory manual indicated 8, spaced to correctly tension as you mentioned:
