Knecht mesh air cleaners: a favor to ask

Hello. I'm looking to have some Knecht-style mesh air cleaners fabricated for my Solex 40PII-4 carbs. They won't say 'Knecht' on them, but in other respects, they will look the same. It would be a great help if someone who has the real deal would measure them for me. I need length, width, and height in centimeters. I also need the diameter of the vent hole on top and the position of the hole. Any and all help is appreciated!

Steve

Pics?! Ohhhh yes. I have lots

Thank you for asking. Its a great 1960 with a later model Super 90. It belongs to a fantastic long time pal of mine. I have it in for some mild tweaks.

I will measure up the filters tomorrow & follow up.

Here ya go

... You can convert to metric at will.

The mesh is nearly flush with the upper & lower plate so the measurements shown should give you as much as you need.

Happy to help the community this way.

Thanks very much for your help! This should do it. I hope this exercise will produce a part that's affordable and looks good. Please stay tuned.

PS. That 356 is a beauty. The S90 should really light it up. I'd love to find one.
