Relay wiring

I went to wire my warning relay, and came across a fused link, red and black wires linked, that according to my wiring diagram should go into 30/51 and 87a on the diagram. Looks factory and old, I didn't disassemble making it a bit difficult to figure it out

Used a previous post to show what I think are the red/black wires connected to the relay. Any ideas?

I guess you want to connect the correct relay to the loose wires. That should be the high beam relay, looking ate the yellow and white-based wires.

You are talking a bout a "fuse", but the brownish block in the picture is not a fuse, it's a connector.

Please add some more detailed pictures, so we can see the actual wiring and the relays available.

Otto, I think I figured it out, but not sure why it was this way, I pulled the connector apart, traced the legs as in the schematic and connected as shown. Still can't figure out why it was wired this way, it almost looks "OEM". Number 46 in diagram. Otto, you're a great resource, thanks!

You're welcome. But do all the lights work as is expected from them?

Below a picture from my '66 relays as I found them when I started restoration. It seems to be the original factory configuration. It might be some additional help.

Relay wiring.

The Weco connector as shown is 100% original. Your car did not had the yellow "warning signal relay" installed. There are 2 types of wiring harnesses, some have all the wiring but have this connector installed. Some have the harness with all extra wire's removed.

When I started the restoration, The yellow relay was in-place and wired, the silver can was also wired but the connection was as shown. So, I don't understand, are you saying that at some point someone installed the yellow warning flasher relay?
