Later 5 gauge 912 wiring diagram

Have quite a collection of the same wiring diagrams that have the title at the top of the page "912 Wiring Diagram" or "Early 912 Wiring Diagram" included in most of the Owner's Manuals, Driver's Manuals, Shop Manuals & other literature I've collected but yet to find a "Late 912 Wiring Diagram" showing the "5 Gauge Wiring Diagram" as all of them only show the "3" Gauge Diagram with no reference to the separate far left dash fuel gauge & next to that the "combo gauge" with oil temp, oil pressure, etc". Does anyone have a source for the "5 Gauge Wiring Diagram/Schematic" by chance as I need one to make sure all my wiring is factory-correct. I found the red/white radio wire taped up from the factory if car's didn't come with radios but guessing most of the places people had radio's install later didn't care & just used any ignition lead but that's not the "correct way" to do things..LOL Thanks, Craig...

Craig,

The following early 911 wiring diagram might help you with the wiring of your instruments.

The only 912 wiring diagram is for the original early 3 instrument dash 912. It was used from 65-69. The color wires on the three instruments will correspond to the 67-69 5 instruments. dash. With the exception to the ambulant temp gauge. For the 69 912 you may have to also use a 69 911 wiring diagram. Do to the use of two fuse blocks instead of the original one that the 65-58 uses.

The wiring harness is the same for the 912 and 911. Cheaper to make one harness.

If you have separate fuel and oil temp/ pressure gauges like pictured below. Then you would have to use the 911 corresponding to that year.

Find it odd that since they produced so many of this 5 gauge cars, there would be a specific wiring diagram/schematic for them...I'll figure it out regardless as not complicated but looking for a practical approach & a reference for this specific car to have on hand. If not mistaken, the gauges are different in the dash of a '68 911 than a '68 912 also... Thanks, Craig

For the two left gauges in the 67-69 uses that same color wires as for the Combo gauges of the 65-66 912. The left two gauges for the 67-69 are so simple. There was no need to made a new wiring diagram to put in the owners manual. The owners manual had very little changes for the five year they were used. Also there would of been a supplement to the factory work shop manual. If it was needed.
