Porsche 912 1969

Hi , will a mechanical fuel pump work while I have a electric fuel pump connected in the petrol line and turned off ,or would I have to remove the electric fuel pump to allow the fuel to flow ?

This is the set-up I'm using. Electric pump, in the smugglers box, to prime the carbs and the stock mechanical pump for running. No issues.

+1; a little bit different configuration. This is an old photo; I am using the setup to fuel stock Solexes (for the last 4+ years) except now I run a metal-encased fuel filter. (The wire 'hanging' by the coil powers the electric fuel pump.)
