If my '68 had been a numbers matching car in the shape of yours, I'd have gone
Bone Stock original for sure.

If there is rust like that, check the front pan between the furthest forward front suspension points. It's hollow. You can access it with a digital probe through the battery tray. It rusts from the inside out. It can look perfect from the outside yet the metal can be rusted to almost a paper thin state. Most of the SWB/LWB cars I've worked on had this issue. I would run a probe inside the heater tubes in the rockers also.
