need 40p11 help

I've got a pair of good 40P11 Solexes and some Gene Berg manifolds that I would like to put on a 2180cc type 1 VW motor. It has a mild cam, 40x35.5 valves, port&polish, 1.5" extractor exhaust.
My main concern is not running too lean on top end. Can anybody give me any tips on jet size, float level etc. for these carbs ? Are there any good tuning articles anywhere that I might read? This motor will be in a street car with maybe a little rice for dinner;)

Thanks,
Bill

I'm gonna shoot you toward www.aircooled.net for tuning tips and tricks if you haven't been there yet...

Thanks, been there. Good info but mostly generic Weber stuff. I found a pretty good Solex PDF at
http://wow.atlasta.net/~mriluvu/oacdp/docproject.html
but I'm looking for more specific custom tuning information. I've got the formulas for setting up the basic configuration for my application but it would be nice to get some "real world" feedback from someone with experience on setting these carbs for use on larger motors.
Thanks
