Short Shifters

My birthday is coming up and my girlfriend wants to get me a present. I've been thinking of a short shifter for my 69' to help tighten things up. Any real difference between the Weltmeister, Willhoit and Rennshift models aside from price? Pretty sure the Willhoit and Rennshift are out of my birthday price range... but could always just get a gift card and I pay for the rest.

Brett:
Have you replaced your shift & coupler bushings? The short shift kit will shorten the throw, but the bushings will address sloppy linkage.

Hi Bill, I replaced the coupler at the start of last summer and had some good results. This season it felt the same but I thought there was more I could do, plus the bushing kit from our sponsor is only $20, so I did. Once again some improvement, but that's worn off. I know it will never be as precise as a new tranny but there's always room for improvement IMO.
