I just bought one from Stoddard 6 weeks ago. Oh well. I'll assemble it tomorrow.

I put the dolly together yesterday. It only took maybe 60 to 90 minutes. The car gets installed on it this afternoon. I'll post a couple pictures.
My little shop is the only place in the world that has two 912 POLO cars in one place. I prefer to call the cars reSee 2cam4 POLO's. My car gets buttoned up this month for a road trip and the other car gets a bare metal repaint, and a bunch of other cool stuff. The goal is to have it ready for next years driving season. ![]() ![]()

On the dolly and ready for the next stage of work.
Once I got the 4 bolts loosely in the body I raised it up a few inches. All the bolts in the uprights and the crossbar were loose. I worked from the top down. 1. All bolts to the body were tightened. 2. I tapped all the uprights to remove any binding. The process was repeated as I moved down the uprights at all four corners. 3. The two below the body. 4. The two bolts that mount the uprights. 5. The two that mount the crossbars. When lowered everything worked as advertised. At this point the only thing I'd change is come up with an easier way to access the on/off of the caster wheel brakes. Chris ![]() ![]()
