1967 912 dash reupholstery
I removed my dash on my 1967 912 and was surprised to find that it was one complete piece and not two sectionals. It looks like a 1968 dash. How do I remove the thin long metal piece that holds the leather down and separates the two sections. On mine, the metal seems to be riveted in.

Hi Roland - would you mind attaching a photo of the piece that's in reference?

1967 Porsche 912 dash reupholstery
I managed to drill out all rivets and now the curved metal strip is free for me to start the reupholster job. The dash board as you can see is all one piece. Is this typical for 1967.

Roland,
The dash pictured is correct for 1967. The two piece dash is for 1968 only.
