912 Floor Rust Advise
Hi all,
I'm considering purchasing this 912 which has some "poor rust repair" on the floor pans, as described by the current owner. I'm about to schedule a PPI but would like input from the experts on this forum about the consequences of getting into a project like this. I understand the price has to reflect the extent of the rust in order for it to make it worthwhile; I wanted to have an idea of how much it would cost to have this properly fixed. Many thanks beforehand!https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...882457402d.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...57f089dfe6.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...983acf986b.jpg |
That is some of the least costly metal to fix. What does the rest of the car look like?

I'd say $4-5k minimum for a new floor.

I would suspect the rocker panels are likely also rusted out based on th amount of rust on the floor. I’m sure you plan on an inspection so any expert will be able to locate additional issues. Trunk floor, smugglers box and battery pan.
The real money is the costs of the rust you cannot see but it still may be a worthwhile purchase if the price was s right. |
