fuse block up grade? Has anyone done an upgrade on the fuse block to the modern type of two pronged fuses. I remember a kit from automotion back in 96 IIRC, and it was pricy, but I may have a good candidate for this. Just wondering what the rest of yall have done. TIA |

One guy that I corresponded with a few years ago did that. I looked into it, but it looked like geting a fuse block(s) with enough circuits on it would take up too much space, so I gave up on it. --DD |

I have a BMW motorcycle that has a block approximately the same size as the 914, but I am not sure of the number of circuits. I cant get to my car very easily as my back yard is flooded. Good thing its up on jack stands;) |

Im concerned that the sawsall could potentially puncture the inflatable raft that we would have to use. |

The BMW block has spots for 7 in a single line, the 914 has 12. You could put two of the 7 together maybe. |

I want to upgrade the fuse block too. I'm looking at the ones at www.autoloc.com . Even though there much bigger than the stock ones. I think it would worth the trouble to make it fit. Especially if you want to upgrade like I want to (pw,pdl,cc,ect.). Plus I like those new fuses that light-up when they go bad, alot easier than having to pull all the fuses to see witch one went bad. Ralph, That is exactly the route that I am on. Check out ebay for power window kits, power door lock kits, and trunk release. They are pretty inexpensive. |
|
Never mind, you already found the least expensive with autoloc, but they advertise on ebay for less than to the general public. |

If you like the stuff on Autoloc, check out www.12voltshop.com and look at the "2 Way Pager Alarm Security" has alot of cool features. Good luck with your project. Ralph 74 2.0 |
