914 windshield

hello, I am in so. cal and am in need of an untinted windshield for a 914 project. Does anyone know of a local source? The only ones that I have found so far have the tinted shade band.

Several times we needed windshields for our pair of 914's and I always used Safelite. The last time when he pulled the 3rd windshield my race car had used we found some rust in the channels so he suggested I repair that, paint it with black rust proof paint and call him after the paint had been dry a couple days so would come back and put the new one in. He also had the black edge seal that covered the gap between the glass and the body at a pretty low rate. A couple years later I sold the car to the collector in Puerto Rico and the windshield and channel were still like new.


I do not believe my last one was tinted but they are getting a tad harder to find since 914's are getting rare now. A couple people who might know are Wayne Baker at Personalized ********e and John Rickard at Black Forest in San Diego if they are still around.
