914-6 front mounted cooler connection points?
Would you help?
I am looking for the correct way to plumb oil lines to a front mounted cooler. I am using a Mazda RX 7 cooler with the internal oil thermostat. My question is where exactly on the engine or oil tank do I make the connection to send the oil forward to the cooler and where exactly does the return line get connected to? There is a thread already on the subject but by the end of the thread I was more confused than when I started reading it. I think the oil flows from the 26MM bottom hole of the factory tank up to the forward oil cooler and than returns from the cooler to the on board engine cooler. |
Oil flows from the 26mm scavange line coming from the engine and instead of running to the tank it goes to the front cooler then back to the tank (side of tank)
