blocking up 914
whats the best way to get my 914 off the ground where are good lift points? getting ready to pull engine.

the circled areas can be used for jack stands, any of the elongated ovals should have the load spread across the whole area, with a 2x4 or other.

Check out the below thread as well. In addition to the above member, Dave at Pelican Parts is very knowledgeable about all things 914s.

I welded up a dolly to roll around. front in on the donuts and rear is on the engine mounts so rear donut rust could be addressed. Best, Markhttp://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1576755452.jpg

That is a nifty little cart, scissor lift is pretty neato too. I bet you could get the drivetrain in and out of that car lickety split.

Well....we will find out. The engine and trans has been out of the car for 30 years. Now a 2.2L E six with S pistons, PMO's, Mod-Solex cams. Should be back in the car in a few months. best, Mark

Randy B, you can also build a wood crib type dolly. Works well and holds car up along the "longs". Great engine access.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1576930979.jpg
