Dansk OEM style muffler noise vs. OEM

Has any had any experience with the Dansk OEM style muffler. I put this on a while back and am not happy with the sound as it seems much louder than stock. I put on the Dansk to replace a Bursch system which was way too loud.

If I compare the sound to another 2.0 that I have (OEM muffler), it seems much louder.

Anyone else that can verify this?

Thanks,

Mike

Sorry, don't have any experience with the OEM style mufflers. But I do know that:

My Dansk OEM muffler is to be delivered today. It'll be about a month before I get it installed unfortunately. Is it just the loudness that you don't like?

Hey Mike,

Last weekend was kind of crappy out so I just stayed in. If your going to be around this weekend let me know. My brake job was postponed until tomorrow, so I really couldnt drive up by u anyway. The stock 75 exhaust is quieter than the 73, but I'll bring mine over for comparison. Sorry to hear about the motor not being up to par. The flintstone flyer ran good - just swap em out :P

Hey!

Tod... soon I won't even have to remove the engine from the Flintstone Mobile...it'll probably fall out by itself!

Eric...the muffler looks ok, is built ok, but just have the impression it is much louder than stock...of course, it could be the other air leaks that are causing this...we'll see...engine rebuild in progress!

Mike
