Muffler Bracket for Six Conversion

According to the 914-6 Conversion Guide...

>>The 914 2.0L muffler bracket is a direct replacement for the 914-6 muffler bracket required to hang the 911 muffler.<<

My conversion car was a 1975 model with a 1.8L motor.

Looking at the Pelican Website for Muffler Brackets, it appears that the same muffler bracket was used for both the 1.8L and 2.0L motors in 1975/76 cars.

Will my muffler bracket work?

Thanks...

I had a 1.8 in my 75 that I converted. Iused the stock 911 muffler with headers. I just added a strip of steel that pointed straight down from the stock bracket and caught where the muffler and header bolted together. you can bolt the steel to the stock bracket or weld it ......

Karl,
You will need the early 2.0L muffler bracket.
Sorry,
Phil

I with Phil on this one,

I had a '75 1.8 braket on my car, wound up using a 2.0 muffler bracket for my 3.2 exhaust.
