How much could i sell this for

I have 1.8l(engine code EC) that i would want to sell. I purchased my car with it in it and i want to get a bigger four in it. the guy that I bought the car from said that it was turned into a 2.0l. It has dual dellorto 40s on it and a new 009, wires and bosch blue coil, and a new bursch exhaust on it put it on drove for a month and put it away for winter. it runs ok could use some better tunning. I was wondering what i could get for this or if any one would be interested in it. I already have an engine picked that i want. Thank you in advance for any help that you can give

Curt

Find a Bug guy to buy it. 914 owners don't generally want them.

The parts are not worth much...sell it whole locally. No one will pay to ship it.

Hi I sold a complete running 1.8 with the FI about 2 years ago for $675 was asking $850... was still in the car running when I sold it, I think that was a big plus. I advertised it here and on Rennlist

In addition to thesamba, you might also post on http://www.shoptalkforums.com . And, of course, http://www.914club.com , and our own classifieds here on Pelican.

Without documentation to show how it was built up, it's a "1.8 motor, possibly more, ran OK when it was pulled out a year ago." Many people will treat that as a rebuildable core, not a running motor.
