Question HELP - Fittings for New Dansk 914 Fuel Tank?

I just received my new Dansk 91420101012 fuel tank. I went to the auto parts stores in town looking for fittings to connect my 3/8" fuel pump line. None of the shops could figure out what fittings are on the bottom of the new Dansk tank. I have searched the forum but cannot find this info. Can one of you who has done this tell me what fittings you used?

Did you keep the two connections from your old tank. The fuel lines are not 3/8. AutoAlanta sells those fittings. If you still have trouble on the fittings and size I would ask Dr 914. 800-792-4944

also make sure that you have received the correct tank, there are two different ones that difference being the brackets on the top for the expansion tank and charcoal cannister. The early dansk manufacture did not have the correct brackets on them!

jess p Yes, I kept them. I had seen a thread that talked about having to use a different fitting than the factory original due to a bevel on the inside of the port on the tank. I may try to use the original supply side to see if it will work without leaking if I do not heard back about something better. Also looking also to cap off/plug the return port as I will not be using it. Thanks

Hi, I ordered the Dansk tank without the mount for the canister as I will not be using it with the carbs. Thanks.

Its just a Porsche 356 reproduction tank. Plans where to put in a fuel cell and then just did this. Mark

I, too, kept the fittings from the "early" tank. As the tank I received was the later model.
I put in new fuel line, filters (inside and the usual outside of the tank) and went stainless for the tunnel.

Litesonic, Thanks, I thought I had read that the fitting was different and required a different fitting, My takeaway from your note is that the original fittings will work. Thank you,
Jeff
