Value of Rebuilt 1.7
Roughly how much would a rebuilt 1.7 longblock be worth? Is there a demand? I have all the pieces to put one together, but I don't know if anyone would want to buy the engine and I'd hate to throw more money into something that'll sit in my garage unused.

If the quality of the rebuild was known and a waranty offered, I think it's a saleable item. BUT, many of the people here would (a) like to build their own, and (b) they would want to increase the size. What pistons?
A few to several hundred dollars is my guesstimate. |

Rebuilt?!
Thats gotta be at least $3000-4000 on ebay. LOL I'd say about as much as the parts cost plus a core charge...say 100-250 for the core depending on what needs to be machined etc..
