Momo steering wheel installation

I have a 1973 Porsche 914 with an OEM steering wheel. I want to install a 350mm Momo steering wheel. I purchased a Momo 90663 hub kit, but the hub kit leaves a gap between the hub and the steering column base where the turn signals and wiper controls are located. Unfortunately, there are not any Youtube videos that address this problem. I attached pictures to illustrate the problem. Does anyone have feedback for what I am doing wrong?

If it were me, I would measure the diameter of the adapter closest to the dash and also the distance between the adapter and the stock column top edge. Then go to a good auto parts shop and see if you can find a rubber bellows such as goes on the top of a strut/shock that comes close as they should stretch some. If I remember correctly the shocks on my Ford F350 were really large so look for ones for a truck maybe even an eighteen wheeler? Once it is on and seems okay use some "Gorilla Glue" black sealer from the inside to make it last. Good luck.
John

I just remembered the adapter I bought for the Momo removable wheel came with a cover, molded rubber that I had to trim a little to cover things well.

The Momo adapter on my 73 2.0 looks totally different and has no gap. Sorry, can't help you with the number, it has been on there for over 10 years.

Hi Steve,

Thank you. Do you happen to know the model number for your momo hub?

Regards,
Don

there are no numbers I can see on the outside or under the horn button. But a search on eBay came up with MA8002

https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/154168953141?epid=4027258361&hash=item23e52f8935:g:HhYAAOSwX6RcGJtU&frcectupt=true

Be careful though. Mine did not fit well and needed a little bit of filing as it scraped (and damaged) the part underneath which holds the wiper and signal arms. All Ok now.

Momo steering wheel installation

Installing a Momo Steering Wheel Thanks Shivang. The steering is one size smaller but that also makes using the horn button easy.
