Noob Need Cover (PNW version)
 

Greetings, new owner of 71 1.7 , fixer, good bones , minimal rust, carb conversion.. lovin it , but my garage space is at a premium, sharing w three glass kilns, my mini glass studio workstations, two motorcycles: one build table motorcycle ( 1965 Honda S90 electric conversion),and my BMW airhead..
Forgot it being such a cool ride that I couldn’t t bear anyone stealing it. Plus our endless rain. So had to cram it in …
Now wondering what the best all weather Pacific Northwest car cover may be … specific 914
thoughts?

Plan is to use club, fuel pump kill switch with cover hiding from view. Hoping new high tech vented cover types are available.not like the old school moisture traps. . Probably spendy?

Having once lived in the PNW I know all about the endless rain. (Seattle). Measure your car, length, and width. Visit Walmart. They sell a heavy duty cover for $30.

Whatever you get, make sure it is securely fastened so it does not blow off or worse, flap constantly and damage the paint.

Thanks…. My major concern is driving in rain, parking, then covering holding all that moisture in.. thinking new spendy tech w venting features.
On the other hand it really deserves to be inside on these upcoming dark cold rainy nights. The gray curtain descends soon.

Car covers accumulate moisture underneath which can damage paint over time, so good to pull it off and air everything out periodically.
