Bride of Rubber Fuel Pump Mounts
Well, I need new rubber mounts for my fuel pump. New ones are awfully steep ($22 ea). Have any of you fabricated these to your satisfaction? If so, how?
I’m primarily worried about two things: vibration against the sheet metal and air circulation around the critter. (I assume this aids in cooling the pump; my pump is mounted in the original location, right & forward of the engine.) So I’d like to spec out the new mounts as closely to the originals as possible. I no longer have the originals, by the way. Cosmetics are not important. Any comments or ideas?

Air cleaner (air filter housing) mounts from some older Mercedes cars (70's S class with CIS) are very similar and cost only $1.50 each.

Thanks for the replies. You're right, the local ******** has something that'll work perfectly for a lot less.

You can get isolators from www.mcmaster.com for a couple of buck each, quite a variety available too.
