anybody know a good shop in MA or So. NH?

the 2.0 has seen better days. I've almost got it completely torn down (pesky flywheel bolts...then he case is comin' apart) and would like to have a shop inspect my case - for all the usual stuff.

I'm rollin' with a 1.7 that's on loan right now

A VW friend suggested Boston Engine - anybody...bueller, bueller?

Pics will come soon as I'd like to keep a photojournal as reference for others (and myself).

Any recommendations?

Thanks

Shine Racing! Note sure on the spelling, but from what I here, he's one of the best on this coast. Grassroots Motorsports used them for their project car. They (shine) may even be at this weekends AX at Devens.

I Have used Boston Engine in the past. Bob has been doing this for a long time focusing mostly on stock and reliability enhansments. He has all the right stuff for case work including main bearing inspection and align boring. I would use him again.

Where are you located?

There is a place in Belmont, MA called "Little Foreign Car Garage".

The owner races 914s, and knows the engines well.

Give them a try.

Sounds good.

Some of my cronies went to Belmont Hill - School for the soft - hahaa. I'll check it out next time I'm out there.

It's a difficult place to find-kind of hidden in an alley.

Give them a call first for directions.
