new to me cam question

Last year I bought a 912E engine in basket case form-I think these engines are similar to a 2.0 in a 914. The cam that came with the package appears new-no sign of wear at all, and I don't think it has ever been installed. It is bolted to the drive gear, not riveted, so I think it is a new replacement. It is stamped C35 on the gear end-can anyone tell me anything about the source of the cam or the purpose of its grind-stock, mild or hot?
Thanks in advance

Searched C35 and this seems to fit the bill.
