I am building a 1.7 914 to autocross in the PCA's production class.
I had a wiring harness fire about a year ago and had to repair most of the main wiring harness. Can I run in the production class with a modified harness? Or do I convert back to an original harness. I found a harness to a '72 will it work in my '71? If you know the PCA's production class rules your help will be greatly appreciated. Jason W.

I asked a senior PCA tech inspector and he said the wire harness replacement would be okay. I think it is mainly because you can't get replacements anymore or if you did find a new one it would cost a fortune and a used one would be a big question. Don't tell any body, but of course it's too late now!!!!

Thanks for the quick info John. But does any body know if a '72 harness would work in my car or what mods I would have to do to make it work. I would rather have the original harness.
