914/6 Engine Mount

Anyone that has used the various engine mountsfor a 914/6 conversion I would love to hear comments and experience with the different options available. I know that Patrick Motorsports and Otto's make a conversion bar. PMS seems expensive, I also know that Pelican has a quick connect mount that attaches to the bulk head. I am leaning more toward the conversion bar option ...

Have you read the Pelican article on converting to a six. If you choose the quick six bar you will mostlikley have to modify your shift linkage to clear the bar. If you use the bulkhead mount you will have a much stronger mount, the adjustibility to place the engine exactly were it needs to be, and not have to mess with the shift linkage. If I were to do it I would choose the bulkhead mount. Mind you, this is just my opinion as I have not actually done a conversion, I am only drawing from all that I have read about this subject.

Having done the conversion, I agree with MikeZ
The shift linkage has to be modified, regardless. I can help with that.
