barn find 75

Don't know if its luck or persistence, but I have another barn find in the garage now.

This 75 914 was in dry storage for about 20 years. Can't find any rust on the body. SHe just needs the fuel system cleaned. Front hood is stuck, cable broke. Records indicated she is a 43k mile car.

Wow! Very nice! Looks all original. Nice door panels with no speaker holes, and pristine looking dashboard! Definitely a "time capsule"!

Great find!

Dash is original....vinyl still soft.

First order of business is pulling the front bumper so I can get the front hood open, cable had broken.

Digging and cleaning last night, found 10 years of maintenance records in a nice neat folder under the passenger seat cushion.

Reminds me of bright orange '75 I picked up at the ********** swap (it used to be the largest SF Bay Area swap of the year). It hadn't been driven in many years and was my son's first car.

Do clean out the fuel system from tank through injectors. Once you do, plan on replacing the fuel filter (maybe more than once). Then enjoy the car - it's a keeper.

Got the front hood open tonight. Two bolts and the bumper was off.

Surprised at how clean the trunk was.

Washer cap is missing, but there is 3/4 tank of stinky gas in the tank.

Rear trunk isn't bad either. I took pad and carpet out for the pic

Looks like the brake master cylinder was/is leaking. You might want to check on that ...

Nice find!

Gotte agree with Andy..great find. What are your plans for the car?Gonna flip it?It would be worth it to someone interested in an unmolested big bumper car to save this one ,with very little work this is a nice dd,or with more work a concours candidate.Either way I just have to say that I love unmolested sheet metal.
