NEW Dublin Ohio PCA meet!!!!!!!

Hello all,..
I'm sending this canvas post out to all the folks. Every year in Dublin, Ohio ( burb of Columbus) Holds a major event. Below is the event information. This a very LARGE event, so this is one of those you don't want to miss. There are other car clubs there from all makes and models, so boredom is not a issue. We have the most beautiful spot right above the pond on the huge complex. Here is the link to Dave Kimple's website.

I have updated the EVENTS web section with the info below, but also inclided maps for all of you not familiar with Columbus. [U]Please[U] RSVP to Brice Kadel, his information is at the bottom of this and the website.

NOTE: YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE A PCA MEMBER TO SHOW YOUR CAR. Modified cars are also very welcome, per Brice Kadel the shows chairperson!!!

On Saturday, July 12th, 2003, the Mid-Ohio Region Porsche Club will again hold their annual Club Car Show as part of the giant Auto Show honoring Len Immke -- with the benefits going to the Central Ohio Arthritis Foundation. Last year this show raised more than $100,000 to be donated to the support of finding a cure for this disease. In doing so, it gave all of us a GREAT excuse to spend a sunny SATURDAY hanging out with a lot of other car nuts -- while viewing some extra-ordinary automobiles from all eras, representing manufacturers from both this county and around the world.

The MORPCA show is open to all Porsche owners. As was the case last year, this once again will be a “user-friendly” show that is a shine and show event. Yes, that’s right…this show is for the Porsche owner who drives his/her car. This is not a field full of trailer queens. Making this show unique is the fact that originality isn’t taken into consideration. So, if you’ve got aftermarket wheels, or sound system…or anything else; don’t let that keep you from participating. Additionally, we don’t open engine compartments, check wheel wells, or look at the undercarriage. Three awards will be presented in each of five classes. In addition, there will be a Best of Show award presented to the top Porsche present.

Registration and the gates open at 8:00 a.m. Judging begins at noon and will end by 3:00 p.m. with the Parade of Winners taking place at 4:00 p.m. Phil Dirt and the Dozers begin their annual concert at 7:00 p.m. Food and beverages are available throughout the day.

Registration is $25.00 per vehicle. If registered by June 24th, you will receive an event T-shirt. Additionally, your registration fee gains you admission to Saturday evening’s Phil Dirt and the Dozers concert. For those wanting to make a weekend out of it, Friday night offers a cruise-in which last year attracted over 1000 cars.

For further information or registration forms for this unique gathering of people and cars, please contact either:

Brice Kadel, 111 Miller Drive, Urbana, OH., 43078, (937) 653-7517, kadel@ctcn.net OR

Andy Trux, 6217 Balmoral Drive, Dublin, OH., 43017, (614)889-0211, trademarketing@compuserve.com.

You can also register via the Show website (as well as see pictures of last years show) at www.arthritisautoshow.org

Terrible turnout!!!!! Only 35 cars attended. I know there are more than 35 Porsches in Ohio.
