ok here we go, so i am driving home from a friends house...not abusing my car in any way... and all of a sudden I get a BRIGHT RED flashing light form my dash... i have only seen this particular light come on once before but it only flashed twice so i didnt pay it any mind.
but tonight I was driving home with about a mileadn a half to go and this huge red light came on, it is on the left-most “Combination Instrument“.…… i was going up a hil at the time and the light just appeared, i turned off the car and started it again while coasting up-hill and the light was still there.... i stopped at a friends house to pick somthing up and re-started the car and it was still there.....now, looking at my hanes book. it looks to be the parking brake warning light, .....is this correct, the light is shaped like 45? of a circle and flashes on the same circut as the blinkers as they turned on and off at the same time. so,,, my question is... what does it all mean? and after that...how do i fix it? The brake switch blinks when the parking brake is not fully depressed. It may blink if there is a brake problem but I think it will just glow continuously. If the pbrake handle hinge is loose, the switch may not go down all the way. Make sure your aternator light is not on. Unlike a 911, the cooling fan is not belt driven. If the motor is going, the cooling fan and oil pump are too.
