windshield trim
I'm almost finished with the restoration of my 74 2.0. My windshield trim is not in good shape and I'd like to change to a black rubber trim like newer vehicles. Can anyone tell me what to buy?? I've seen references to
this being done many times but none mention EXACTLY what vehicle (make, model and year) was used. Any help would be appreciated!! |

I used the trim from a rear window of a 1985 Plymouth Voyager. Had to trim it, but put the join in the middle on the bottom.

Hey! Nice Rack! "Celette"

I had a glass shop install my new windshield and use the wide vynal trim. Same as Mike. The problem is the lower corners. The glass guy should have used a pin point heat gun to strech the trim and ease it around the tight corner. I ended up with puckered corners. I tried to pull the trim out because I didn't like the way it looked. During the removal the windwhield cracked. This was generally a unsatisfying experience. My advise, Pick your glass installer carefully.
