AAR boot ?
I apologize if this has been covered to death previously...
In 17years of 914 playing.. I've never had a fuel injected car until now.. so this weekend I discover that the AAR boot (rubber boot above the valve with 3 connections) is highly wornout.. I'm sure this comes up all of the time. I'll call pelican, but didn't see it listed on line.. is there a solution? is this a common problem with an easy solution.. thanks all brant |
The parts book calls it a "stacked elbow". It's been NLA for a number of years that I know of. You can fake it with plumbing supplies--run a hose from the plenum to your homemade part, and then the hoses to wherever they go.
Yours doesn't have to look like this one, but this certainly is one way to do the job: http://members.rennlist.com/chuxter/FuelF.htm (Hmm, I just realized this is for the fuel? Anyway, you can do something similar for vacuum. You can use a couple of T fittings and a step-down to get the right size connections.) --DD |
