Speedo Cable
after 12+ years my speedo cable finally snapped at the end. I've replaced the clutch and accel cable many times before... is there anything special I need to do when doing the speedo?
I'll be replacing all 3 cables while im down there thanks -Steve

Good time to open the tunnel up and check for rust, rodents or other unwanted items in there. The speedo cable might have some clips holding it down, on one of ours there were several of those flat metal pieces holding it and on my 73, none?? I hook the front of a new one to the back of the old one and pull it in that way. Good luck

ahh
thanks. thats a good idea.
Mine had plenty of corn in it when i did a restore many years ago. it sat in a barn and had field mice "preserving" it for years before i bought it... actually the corn absorbed much of the possible water and the frame was essentially rust free (other than the obvious bad spots).
