Cold Start Valve - 74 914 1.8l
Guys,
I have been having a really tough time finding a Bosch cold start valve(CSV) for my 1.8 914. The valve itself has a "tee" with the single side going into the intake manifold and the the two connections basically serve as an inflow and then an outflow to the driver's side bank of injectors. Here's my question. Could I install "tee" in the fuel line and then use the single inflow cold start valve that seem to be readily available on line? So, my thinking is that I would have constant fuel pressure to the CSV and to both side fuel rails. The electrical connection at the back of the CSV look to be the same. What does everyone think? Thanks, Mark

Should work fine. That's how the 2.0 liter system did the job. Remember that the CSV is closed most of the time anyway--it only opens while the starter is cranking, and only while the temperature is below freezing. (Or maybe as warm as 40F, depending on the exact TTS it is hooked to.)
