Firewall Shift Bushing Install Problems
I'm replacing the shift bushings on my 1974 1.8L and it's been simple so far. I've done the two black ones in the shift coupler connecting the two rods and the one entering the rear housing. Now I'm trying to install the firewalll bushing and It's driving me nuts. I can't seem to stuff it into the hole (No comments please!). Is there a trick or tip anyone knows for performing this task?
Any and all help greatly appreciated. Regards, kt |
Have you pulled the shift rod back into the center tunnel ?
Tech Article here at Pelican. If so, it should pop right on. |
Yes, I just did and it went right in.
Thank You, kt |
