Oil Leak

I have an oil leak coming from a screw in the engine case. It is on the right side, between pistion 1 and 2, on the bottem side close to the push rod tubes. At least it is where I think it is coming from. I put in oil and it leaks back out then stops. Not all of the oil will leak out. This happens without the engine ever running. What dose the screw do? Is there a seal I can replace? This didn't start to happen until I the degresed the engine and transaxle. Go figure.

Thanks, a new 914 owner, Chris.

Is it that large one that takes a star shaped socket?

Take a pic.
