Konis Shock Question

Hi,

Can ayone tell me some info on these Knois shocks that are in my car.

HEAVY TURN
SENS - REGLAGE
82K 1722

There's an arrow near the heavy turn printing to tell you which way to go to adjust them. You push the shock all the way down and go back and forth until it engages the adjuster. It will drop in, you will feel it. Go all the way to soft and count the turns you put on it. As far as the 12 73, that might be a build date, but I don't know. The other number is the model no.

Sean,

Try 1-800-922-2616, Koni. Costs are about what they are new.

Are you implying that he didn't save his receipt?

I have 'em, checked into rebuilding and found out that it costs the same as buying new ones that can be adjusted without getting the car on a hoist taking the suspension half apart. Stupid shocks. Mine are still working OK and I'm too cheap to replace them yet.

is anyone willing to quote an actual dollar amount? "same as new" is not a defined quantity on money

'bout 75% of the price of a set of decent tires, and I think a little more than euro pistons and cylinders, but definitely less than a gearbox rebuild. Email Pelican.

Last time I called Koni, the response was "Uhhhhhhh - $180.00 each". I didn't call back.

oh thank you, finally, a real dollar amount. why are people afraid to say what they paid for something? Scared they might feel stupid for paying to much, i guess.
