Porsche Crest Wear your seatbelts people

Driver and passenger survived this. Passenger was able to walk. The driver was up and about the next day.

It may not be a 914, but structurally, our cars are very similar.

WOW!! That looks nearly as bad as the 914 I pulled my spare 2.0L out of. This guy was a college student at Rolla (central Missouri), heading down south to visit his parents. Got ran off the road trying to pass a tractor hauling hay(dude in the tractor swerved left to avoid people riding horses on the road). The student hit a bluff going 65 mph (solid rock, doesn't give much) and rolled three times. The driver's front wheel was munched up into the windhield pillar, and the rest of the front was about even with the gas tank. Amazingly, the only injury sustained by the student was a broken leg (THANKS TO THE SEATBELT!), but looking at the car it was hard to believe anyone would've survived--quite a crumple zone 914's have, but I'd sure hate to test it!!

I'd hate to be the one to crumple test a 914 with that sort of impact. I couldn't even recognize it as a Boxster, even after reading the post.

Only way I could recognise it, was the wheels, and the non flared body with the side scoops...

Took me a while to figure it out..

It took me a few seconds to tell it was a boxter, but I noticed the air scoop next to the door and new right away after seeing that.

That crash would be the end in a teener.

The front crumple zone on a 914 is just aft of the drivers compartment, and the rear, just fore.

Do wear your seatbelt, and always leave yourself options, always.
