Hubs and stubs for a 914/4

I'm working on a project and need a little help. I got a good deal on a set of hubs and brake calipers from a 72 914/4 and also got a set of trailing arms that I'll use for a template for the bearing carriers (the arms will be for sale after) what I need now are a set of stub axles. The size of the cv joint is not a concern they will be modified to fit any way. So the question is will any other stub axle fit these hubs? also does anyone have a set that will fit my hubs they will part with cheap? (as long as the splined end is in good shape they will work)
