One year ago today.

I ordered a car from Caaaaleefowr Nia (Austrian acct) and that was a good thing.

Well, you know the new motor blowed up, and that's a bad thing.

And I got another new motor, and that's a good thing.

And it's going to be ready to break-in the cam in 2 hours, and that's a good thing..

While I was delivering the FORD RED factory muffler this AM, I took a few minutes to really get to know the underside of my car. Man, it's nice up under there.. real nice.

I could only find (added up) about 3 square inches of surface rust, and it's spread out over 15 individual lil pecks.

Bushings 100% there, but cracked in a couple places, the undercoating is 99% there, and where it isn't, you can peel it off with your fingernail, and it's super new up underneath all that.

After 6 weeks of not looking at it, it's much better than I remember.

I feel pretty good, I hope my car gives me more nice suprises on our 1st annum celabratum.

So, when do I get to go for a ride....???

Aubergine teen? I think I know that car... Ex-aubergine, repainted a Saturn metallic purple that was close (body shop couldn't match aubergine for some reason), five-bolt wheels, LE spoiler... The gal who owns (owned?) it has a whoooooole lotta attitude. Neat gal, neat car!

That's HIM!!

That's the unwaxed transvestite that stole my car!

Uhh... my engine is awesome, even if it is near sooty rich, and the oel light flickers @ 1000.

So aubergine is a color? I have never seen one that color before. Interesting. I would think that color would be more a chick color on a teener. Maybe it's just me.

-Aubergine- is -Eggplant Purple-

IT'S A VERY MANLY COLOR! -glare-

My motor:

1. OEL light flickers if I don't hold it off idle by 100rpm.

2. Richer than Bill Gates, Mar. 11th, 2000.

3. Rattle from the HE at the virge of hitting the power band.

This engine is almost silent when standing in front of the car, the last one sounded like a freight train.

OEL problem... what the heck you think about that? I added a 1/2qt.

Aubergine. That sounds like something out of Alice in Wonderland. The Aubergine Cat...

Oil light flicker; sender, or pressure?

Yeah, she is a show off.

Dogs have owners. Cats have staff.

What is it about this thread that makes me want to take a very long shower and SCRUB, and SCRUB, and SCRUB, and SCRUB, and SCRUB, and SCRUB, and SCRUB?

OK, I admit that I have five cats and two dogs (toy poodles)..............but I don' ADVERTISE it!!!!!!! If I did I would be immediately deemed a weenie. Well, OK, so I am a weenie. But I would wager that I am bigger than most of you and could therefore beat you senseless.............or cry louder.

Toast...........nice to see your cartoon icon boobies again.

Sometimes a sender and gauge doan match 'zackly, and the reading is off.
Same can happen with the red lite.
If I were you (and your glad I'm not) I'd hook up a real type mechanical pressure gauge and see what the pressure really is. It may be something as simple as a no-good sendor or a bad connection, or it may mean pulling the engine apart (had to throw that in).
