How to check a coil
I finally have most of the electricall woking (Still need to check the defrost blower) tried to start the car and I hear a click (Not at the starter) and all power gone. I pull the wires off the battery for a few seconds and I have power a agin, try to start and hear the click and car shorted out. I have power to the coil, and was wondering how to check to see if the coil is shorting out the car.

While I have never heard of a coil doing that I guess anything is possible? If you turn on the key with the coil disconnected does it do it? If not then it is the coil or wiring. There are specs somewhere on the PP site here for the primary and secondary resistance and what it is between them. Try a search in the 914 area for "coil resistance", good luck.
