I bet carbs are sounding pretty good about now huh?
At this point, a Mazda Miata is sounding pretty good. This car is really starting to piss me off. I totaly flushed out the fuel system and put in a new pump. The old one had been contaminated at one point by a porsche dealer. Dont ask.
So, I then put the injectors on the elbows. I tested them. The left rear and right foward injector sprayed. Nice mist pattern.
Figured all was good to go. Put them in and I am still having the same problem. Car wont start. It cranks, has spark and has fuel.
Fuel pressure stays at a steady 29lbs.
I even put a new MPS in the system. Head temp is connected.
All contacts cleaned. New spark plugs too. Old ones were fouled. WTF am I missing here?

Left rear and right front injectors are on the same trigger point circuit. Do the other two spray?

If so, then you have spark and fuel. How about compression? If you have that as well, then the only possible problems are how much fuel goes in or when the spark occurs.

I'll offer a couple more suggestions if you want em,

fire it again on starting fluid to make sure the ignition is still functioning properly.

you could have spark and too much fuel, causing the fouled plugs. If a cold start valve was leaking. My car for a time flooded like that, and the only way to start it was to unplug the MPS, turn the car over with accelerator down to clear the manifold. It would start then die when the residual gas ran out. Then I could plug in the MPS back in and start it and it would run normally. It was the cold start valve leaking. You even said it leaked down some after some time. Thats' one possibility.

You said youput the injectors on the elbows and tested them, how? while turning the engine over or pumping on the gas or both?

I tested the injectors by putting them in a cup fully connected. I then turned the key to the on possition. went back by engine and manualy moved the throttle cable. That is how I got them to spray. It was only the pair I stated above. Are all four suppose to work at the same time?

nope, 180 degrees from that pair.

Drown your relay box in WD-40, and is there any possibility your plug wires got swapped around?

that would be testing the TPS enrichment. but it's not the circuit which is run by the MPS and Trigger points. You should then, be able to start the car by pumping a few times on the gas with the key on, then turning the engine over. But it sounds like you still have trigger contact issues and it won't continue to run.

Try that much first, and then go from therew.

i pulled 1 plug wire at a time. but i will check them to be sure

your next step should be to turn on the key, pump the accelerator 5 times, then engage the starter to see if it fires and runs for a few seconds.
