heat exchangers

is there any way to tell if your heat exchangers have holes in them? I'm getting ready to put my heating system together, and while I want to buy ss ones, I don't have the money to do it now.

JBWeld, a small putty knife, and a little paint brush.

I have done this before, it works great, you just use the knife to fill the seams, and brush to spread it out, and force it in places you can't see.

I hear ya..

or you can just install a 12 volt heater like you would find at a truck stop and install it under the dash.

Just an idea, not sure if it would work or not but I might try it because of how cold the winters get in Chicago.

And you don't have to wait for the car to warm up

I dont know about you guys, but my heater works instantly in my car. It gets so hot in there it will run you out of the car. Defroster doesnt work worth a darn but the heat works too good.
