Window regulator question
 

Hey...

Looks like my window regulator bit the dust...I think! While trying to align my window glass, the window regulator failed....I took everything apart and found the regulator to be separated at the pivot point (red circles in pic).
Can someone tell me if the assembly can be separated at the pivot point when the assembly is removed or if it is press fit and should always remain connected to the other piece?

Would be good to know if this can be fixed (if broken) or if I should pick up a used one as in the pic.

I took a photo of the area where the two pieces join...seems like something is missing here....can anyone confirm? Didn't find anything lying in the door...so it's kind of strange.

Any help would be appreciated!
