flares
Two questions:
1. Can someone please tell me the exact position of the flared wheel arches on the 914/6 GT ie. distance of top of flare from inside edge of rear wing etc. 2. The differences between 1st and 2nd editions of Restorers Guide to Authenticity. thanks ------------------ |

The easiest way to line up and install the GT flares is to first install the GT rockers. This will get the fore/aft lined up. Then make sure they match the bottom edge of the body for the height adjustment. As far as any exact measurments, all 914's are different from the start which will make all of the flares different as well - not to mention that many GT's were built by privateers.

I agree, As I understand, the first GT'S many have been dealer installed. Maybe someone somewhere has some dealer instalation tech bulletin, but... Just line things up with the rockers and go. Good Luck
