I wonder why people spend time and money on a project and then give up at the worst possible time.

the guy sure is thorough, but I think if he'd spent less time on the website and more wrenching he might be done.

.

He probably already bought a completed conversion for less than it would cost him to finish that one...

Doods, it's a worthless hulk. It is a shame, but it's someone else's choices, and it's in a billion pieces.

The only way to sell that is to build the drivetrain, right.

Well, the fact that it is a 76 makes it undesirable in California or any other state with smog laws. The rust on it is not all that bad and could be fixed in the condition it is now. I like the rotiserie thing. It would make it easy. Which makes me wonder why he doesn't just finish it himself. I dont know what his reserve is but for anyone outside of Texas, that would be as much as the car to ship all that stuff. Considering the condition of it. If it were local it might be a different story. I dont know, maybe I am just rambling. I will stop now.

Yeah there is definitely a limited market for that car/pile of parts. If you ever wanted to do a small 6 conversion and you live close, it could be a great deal. If you don't it's not. Someone would have to own a large vehicle or be adventurous enough to rent a big U-Haul to pack everything in. There is also a risk regarding the drivetrain. Is it in good shape or not? You won't know until you get it home.

Sounds like fun to me! Too bad I have 500 other things to do.

I hate his comments about "there is no such thing as a rust free 914". Because, I OWN ONE! And if his statement is true, mine must be worth millions!

Would be an excellent project though.

Sounds to me like a "parts" car.

Or he should sell all of the part on e-bay. He'll get more money for them....
