In my experience, 110 is tops, if you want predictable, and that is without turning. 120, can be downright unpleasant, that said, 140 leaves a scar on your brain.

The fun started about 6500 in 4th.
They were using the chicane (Festival Turns on TV).....I still had another gear and 2-300 yards when we stepped out of the envelope. Without the chicane, there's another 1/4 mile of straight. Dunno how fast the thing will go, but I want it to be stable when we get there:rolleyes: Ayup, PCA. I had an instructor for the first session.....but he is crazier than me....ole "HARD ON THE GAS...NOW!!" Chuck:D |
Put the biggest, lowest front splitter on you can find, one with a rubber lip that almost drags.
Then put stiff rubber strips along the sides from the front tars to the back just inside the longs and that hang down almost to the ground, then make sure you loose the rear valence, then get a spare rear decklid and mount a tail on it. That way you can switch back and forth. I actually did the ground effects rubber on my first 914 just for giggles back when I was your age. It was only a 1.7 but the added vacuum under the car made a big difference at anything over 80 mph. I swear I could feel the suspension compressing a little. Could have been all in my haid but the car felt more stable. Not sure how it effects the rules tho..... |
