If Frazer (Rt 30 just East of Rt 202) is not too far,
Van Valkenburgh Co. 544 Lincoln Highway Frazer, PA 19355 610-647-4835 Eric Van Valkenburgh Small independent mechanical shop, no bodywork, but he can recommend. Older guy (my age) with his son working with him. Long time experience with Porsche and other primarily European cars. I've seen 356's to twin turbo's in the shop, also Saab, Volvo, MB, Audi, etc. Also has a British car client base, though we've discussed the applicability of all of the Lucas jokes. When I first bought my car I asked around to find a local shop. He was recommended as doing good work, but with his prices being high. I've been very pleased with his work, and haven't found his prices out of line. Harvey Hoover

Translog in York. Been a million years since I've been there, though.
